How SharpFish Monitors NFL Lines From Lookahead to Kickoff
A plain-English explanation of what SharpFish watches, what an Alert means and why customers do not need to stare at sportsbook screens all week.
SharpFish watches the market so you do not have to
An NFL spread can exist well before kickoff and change several times before the game starts. SharpFish is built around monitoring that lifecycle.
1. Watch eligible NFL point-spread markets
SharpFish monitors eligible sportsbook market information on its governed operating schedule. Lookahead markets are included when eligible future-week spreads are available.
2. Keep the full quote together

A spread without its price, book and timestamp is incomplete market information.

Stale

Book A +3 (-105)
No longer verified as current
A better-looking quote is not useful if the market has already moved away from it.
3. Compare change over time
SharpFish can observe when a spread or attached price changes so the current quote can be understood in the context of earlier market observations.
4. Filter instead of flood
Movement alone is not a SharpFish Alert. The system applies governed analytical requirements before an official Alert is surfaced. No Alert is a valid result when conditions do not qualify.
5. Bring the market to the customer
Customers do not need to keep multiple sportsbook tabs open or repeatedly refresh lines throughout the week. SharpFish handles the monitoring and can surface selected conditions when its requirements are satisfied.
What SharpFish does not do
- guarantee winners;
- promise profit;
- turn every line move into a recommendation;
- place wagers for customers;
- remove the customer’s decision authority.
Why Lookahead is central
Most fans are thinking about this week. The next market may already be forming. SharpFish is designed to keep watching even when you are not.
IF THE NUMBER MATTERS, SEEING IT EARLY MATTERS.
